Just how good is Skyline football?

Doesn't just take a Seattle Times ranking to know 4A Skyline is the number one football program in the state. Convicing wins over Issaquah and Eastlake certainly cemented the notion that the Spartans are the state's elite team. On Friday, Skyline walked over 6-1 Issaquah, winning 38-0. I grabbed these next stats off Maxpreps.com: Under first-year head coach Mat Taylor, the Spartans have outscored their seven opponents 296-8. No kidding. Plus, Skyline has won 20-straight and 40 of 44. Rivals.com has Skyline as the 17th best team in the nation, rising from 21st last week. Is there any team coming up that will provide more competion than a speedbump for a school bus? Redmond (1-6) is next, followed by Bothell (5-2).
