Tony Wroten Jr.'s parents sue school district
They said they would, and they did. Tony Wroten Jr. parents filed suit today against Seattle Public Schools to get their son back into Garfield High School, district officials told the PI. Considered one of the nation's best sophomore guards, Tony -- whose parents live in Renton -- had his eligibility taken away by the district earlier this month. While the Wrotens leased a house near Garfield, a district investigation found Tony was not living at the rental. Now it will be to a judge to decide. If Tony transfers to a different school, he'll be ineligible to play for at least one season under district rules. You can read more about the suit here.

What a waste of time. They could have him playing basketball at Renton once he got his 10 practices in but instead they sue the district. By the time this is finished the season will be over and he will have missed it. I suppose then his folks will sue the district for denying his god-given rights to shoot hoop.
