Gig Harbor girl Gatorade Runner of Year

Gig Harbor High School's Alyssa Andrews is the 2008-09 Gatorade State Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year. The senior won the 4A Class title this fall, with a winning time of 18 minutes on the 3.1-mile (third-fastest in course history). The Gatorade Player of the Year award honors top high school student athletes in 12 varsity sports for athletic excellence, academic achievement and exceptional character. Props to Alyssa.
